Selections Consultant

About the role

Reporting to the Select Studio Manager, you will be responsible for the preparation and execution of the customer selection process (interior and externals) in the Select Home Studio; in accordance with their plans and inclusions.

Key to the success in the role will be to ensure an efficient and accurate selections process that is integrated into the planning and approvals process pre-site.

Critically the Selection Consultant will guide housing customers through the process demonstrating a flair for contemporary design in line with plans, inclusions, and budgets, whilst ensuring an exceptional experience throughout.

The role is expected to maintain the selection studio to high standards in presentation and offering, and to achieving of identified performance and customer service KPI’s in line with the company’s vision and strategic objectives.

Main responsibilities:

  • Completion of accurate and efficient selections processes in accordance with plans and inclusions; and within agreed schedules / timelines
  • Ensuring all plan amendments, standard and bonus inclusions, upgrades, and variations are accurately documented and priced and signed off by the customer
  • Ensuring the selections process is integrated into the pre-construction process and schedule to proceed accurately to site
  • Ensure a customer focused approach to all activities

What you will bring:

  • Demonstrated experience in a selections role in the housing and construction industry
  • Demonstrated experience in interior design
  • Experience in cabinetry design is highly desirable
  • Understanding of the building and construction industry and construction processes
  • Strong knowledge of interior design and product trends
  • Strong interpersonal and organisational skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Ability to communicate with a diverse range of people and build positive relationships
  • Intermediate level of skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and email)

Senior Architectural Draftsperson

About the role

Reporting to the Drafting Manager, you will be responsible for the preparation of architectural designs and drawings using computer aided drafting programs and ensuring that design drawings conform to specifications provided.

You will play an integral role as a key technical resource in Sales and Operations, ensuring accurate and timely completion of drafting and pre-construction processes to support file flow through to site.

Main responsibilities:

  • Produce master drawings using CAD program that comply with the customer contracts and quotations and design and construction requirements with the relevant building authority codes and standards.
  • Prepare and complete working drawings including floor plans, elevations, sections, internal elevations, electrical plans, landscaping and details from the design brief according to Company processes and accuracy standards.
  • Prepare master plans to ensure they are available when required product release for new display construction and production requirements – including all facades and sales plans.
  • Liaise with the Sales and Operations teams to ensure production of plans meet their requirements to produce customer plans according to the required production target dates.
  • Ensure that drawings are forwarded to and received from all stakeholders within the nominated time frames to enable completion.
  • Provide technical advice and solutions to other members of the team when required.

What you will bring:

  • Tertiary qualifications in building design/architect
  • Demonstrated experience in an architect of drafting role in the housing and construction industry
  • Experience in drafting and construction practices and theories
  • Highly skilled in computer aided drafting programs, preferably AutoCAD or Revit
  • Highly skilled in building design concepts, practices, procedures, final documents, specifications, materials and construction practices.
  • Strong knowledge of the National Construction and Australian standard codes
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Building Support Coordinator

About the role

Reporting to the Construction Administration Manager, you will be responsible for performing administration and customer service tasks relating to post-build and maintenance for our customers. This includes the management of the maintenance, responding to all customer enquiries, issuing customers written updates on their maintenance works, liaising with suppliers and trades, and providing direct support to the Building Quality manager.

Main responsibilities:

  • Act as the point of contact for all incoming service and warranty enquiries
  • Provide a high standard of customer support to answer queries and concerns as they arise
  • Coordinate on site requirements and issue resolution with the Building Quality Administrator, suppliers, trades, and customers
  • Liaise with external stakeholders to keep up to date on progress, communicate issues and ensure milestones are achieved to resolve matters
  • Manage day to day customer interactions issues to achieve positive outcomes
  • Escalate major customer complaints or issues to the Construction Administration Manager and Building Quality Manager
  • Update and maintain accurate documentation for each job file.

What you will bring:

  • Demonstrated experience in a customer service/administrative position
  • Working knowledge of a building and construction workflow management system
  • Intermediate level of skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and email)
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiations skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with people from a diverse range of backgrounds
  • A strong customer service focus with the ability to maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality
  • Ability to work productively within a team environment
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proactive approach to problem solving and ability to adapt quickly maintaining effectiveness in different situations
