Faircare - After Sales Care

When it’s time to move in, we provide you with Handover Pack which contains warranties and practical information. During handover, we talk to you about your home, and how to maintain the property so it always presents beautifully.

We realise it may take more than three months to properly settle into your new home. That’s why we offer a 6 MONTH maintenance period, double the time of other builders.

We know peace of mind is important. If you can’t feel safe in your own home – where can you? That’s why all Fairmont Homes come with a 50 YEAR Structural Guarantee. Again, double the time offered by other builders.

50 Year Structural Guarantee

For your complete peace of mind it's nice to know you'll be guaranteed 50 years of service after the sale with our 50 year structural guarantee.

The Fairmont Homes Structural Guarantee lasts for 50 years of your ownership

For the first 50 years of initial ownership Fairmont Homes will rectify at our cost the structural failiure caused by our default of: Concrete footings, load bearing brickwork, structural timbers.

Appliance Service: Hot water units, cook tops, ovens etc, are all covered by the Manufacturers Guarantee, We recommend that you read the induvidual appliance Manufacturers Guarantee and Care maintenance information included in your Fairmont Homes hand kit and contact the Manufacturer's Service Department for service during the guarantee period.

Items Not Covered by this Guarantee

  • “Acts of God” such as damage caused by storms, fire or flood.
  • Trees near the concrete footings of your home may cause shrinkage of the soil, particularly in soils of high clay composition. As a result of this shrinkage, damage to the footings may eventuate. For further information regarding this matter please refer to the “Guide to Home Owners on Foundation Maintenance and Footing Performance” produced by the Division of Building Reaserch ofthe CSIRO. This Guarantee may be rendered void should compliance to these recommendations not be adhered to.
  • Any defects repaired or modified by unqualified or unauthorised personnel.
  • The Fairmont Homes Guarantee does not cover problems caused by misuse or neglect on your part. It is, therefore, in your interest to ensure that your home receives proper care and maintenance as this will ensure continued pleasure in your new Fairmont Home.
  • Any failiure caused by anything other than our faulty workmanship or our negligent supply of defective materials.

18 Week Build Time

When your contract is signed, Fairmont will evaluate whether your home meets the conditions herein stated to receive the guarantee. Fairmont will confirm, in writing, by way of an annexure to the contract that your home qualifies for the guarantee. This forms part of the contract and gives you the peace of mind that you are seeking.

Conditions of the Build time guarantee

  • Commencing from deposits accepted by Fairmont as of the 31st of March 2015
  • The design must be from the standard single storey Fairmont design collection
  • Selections are to be of a standard nature
  • The property to be built on, must be within the metropolitan area
  • The guarantee will commence from footings poured and concludes on the date that Fairmont advises that the home has reached Practical Completion
  • The guarantee is subject to any extension of time and suspension of work clause in the contract, including a five week extension if construction occurs during the annual industry holiday period from 20 December
  • The guarantee also requires the client’s obligations to be fulfilled

This Build time guarantee does not apply to:

  • 2-storey, split design or multiple dwellings
  • Difficult sites, where rock excavation is required and those requiring traffic management plans to construct the home
  • Homes that include retaining walls, stormwater, landscaping, driveway, stone bench tops, glass splash backs, timber, tiled or carpeted floors or furnishings

If the Build time guarantee is not met: Fairmont Homes will pay you $300 per week, into your bank account, for a maximum of 6 weeks , if we do not meet the construction time frames.

$3,000 gets you started

Deposits starting from $3,000. Deposit based on specific house and land packages in specific locations (Contact Fairmont Homes for more information). 

Based on a total House and Land Package up to $300,000 (land cost of $130,000, build cost of $170,000). Also assumes customer is eligible for the First Home Owner Grant and HomeStart's Graduate Loan.

Must be eligible for first homeowners grant. Finance provided through Homestart Finance. Must meet mortgage lenders’ criteria and available on selected land only. Not valid with any other offer. 


Free 2.7m ceiling upgrade

Promotion only applies to the first 200sqm of living and garage areas combined (charges apply to additional area). Promotion only applies to single story homes. Promotion only applies to homes being built in the Adelaide Metropolitan area. Includes brick over doors and windows to front elevation only (up to 3 lineal metres). Infill panels over openings to remainder of the home. Longer roller door/s to carport. This offer is only available when advertised as a promotion. Not to be used in conjunction with any other offers.

First Home Owners Grant

(excerpt from Revenue SA website, 16th December 2013)

The First Home Owner Grant (FHOG) is paid by the State Government to eligible first home owners. The payment is made only after an application has been submitted to and approved by RevenueSA or a financial institution authorised by RevenueSA to process applications.

The FHOG applies to the purchase or construction of a residential property, including a house, flat, unit, townhouse or apartment that meets local planning standards anywhere in South Australia. The FHOG currently applies to both new and established homes, but will cease for established homes from 1 July 2014.

The residential property must be occupied as each applicants principal place of residence property for a continuous period of at least six months commencing within 12 months of date of settlement for contracts to purchase, or the date construction is completed for owner builders or contracts to build.

Seniors Housing Grant

(excerpt from Revenue SA website, 10th July 2014)

The Seniors Housing Grant (SHG) is a once off grant of up to $8500, available to natural persons, aged 60 years or more, who are purchasing or building a new home valued up to $400 000 and will phase out for eligilble homes valued up to $450 000. for first home owners, the SHG is not available in addition to the First Home Owner Grant (FHOG).

The SHG applies to:

  • a contract to purchase a new home entered into between 1 July 2014 and 30 June 2016 (inclusive);
  • a comprehensive home building contract for a new home entered into between 1 July 2014 and 30 June 2016 (inclusive) where the contract states that the building work will be completed within 18 months of commencement or the building work is actually completed within 18 months of commencement;
  • a contract for the purchase of a new home off-the-plan entered into between 1 July 2014 and 30 June 2016 (inclusive) where the contract states that the building work will be commenced on or before 31 December 2017 or the actual building work is actually completed on or before 31 December 2017; and
  • an owner builder where construction of the new home commences on or after 1 July 2014 and before 30 June 2016. The SHG is available to natural persons aged 60 years and over who purchase or build a new home as their principal place of residence.

Only one SHG is payable in relation to a particular new home and at least one of the applicants must: satisfy the Commissioner that they are aged 60 years or over; and

occupy the home as their principal place of residence for a continuous period of at least six months, commencing within 12 months after the completion of the eligible transaction.

In addition an applicant is ineligible to receive a SHG if the applicant or their spouse/domestic partner has previously received and retained a SHG.
