“It’s been life changing for me. I didn’t think I could love a home this much.”

Trapped inside a small house with two rambunctious toddlers, Kulvinder Kaur fantasised about raising her family in a big house with a backyard.

“There wasn’t a lot we could do and it was kind of a struggle,” she said of the family’s first home on a main road in the Adelaide suburb of Modbury.

The backyard was too small for Ms Kaur’s two-year-old son Ivaan and his four-year old sister Inaaya, so the kids were forced to play inside where they were forever bumping into their mother and father.

Then one of her friends built a new home. Impressed with the Fairmont Homes build and her friend’s newfound quality of life, Ms Kaur contacted the builder and set her family’s future on a new path.

“I’m so proud of this house,” Ms Kaur said, as Ivaan bolted excitedly from room to room. “It’s all worth it. The workmanship and the finishings are beautiful.”

Ms Kaur said working closely with her builder allowed her to get exactly what she wanted out of her new home while sticking within the family’s budget.

“Fairmont modified their plans to accommodate our needs, and they would suggest ‘do this instead of that and you will save money here that you can then spend over there’,” she said. “It’s all we ever imagined,” she said. “It has been life changing for me. I didn’t think I could love a home this much.”
